If you have a technical product like an app or website, or if you have a traditional business, you also have a process called customer onboarding that you must perfect.

The user onboarding process starts even before your customers visit your website, app, or products. It starts with planning the user flow and your brand positioning, and how you promote in order to get people to your website or product. Once people visit your website or mobile app, you must balance how much value they get upfront and how soon you ask them to sign up, pay, or give you their email address. You must make your UX layout intuitive so it’s not confusing and easy for people to start using your product or business.

The goal of your user onboarding is to eventually turn customers into long-term, engaged users who then go on to buy things and recommend your business to their friends.
